PS4S would be a great choice for daily driving. I'll never understand people looking for a cheaper tire, that's the only thing keeping you on the ground...

I don't think the question here is 'where can I find all season tires to fit my 10" wide wheels'... Ultimately what anyone wants is still a summer performance tire, that perhaps has a bit higher tread wear rating (maybe 300s), that will fit our 1LE wheels and last longer than stocks. That 2 second advantage you get on the track running PS4S over the Potenzas isn't going to translate to any advantage on the street, because you'll likely never hit the tires' limits. It's a valid ask. And most people that religiously track these cars already have smaller lighter second set of wheels with different rubber specifically for those days.

All season tire sizes.
Would these sizes fit?
Front: 255/40R20 Dia=28.0" Section=10.2" Tread=9.5"
Rear: 295/35R20 Dia=28.1" Section=11.9" Tread=11.0"

About 1" taller than the 1LE, but only about 0.3" taller than the stock SS size.

Another
Front: 275/35R20 Dia=27.6" Section=10.9" Tread=10.0"
Rear: 285/35R20 Dia=27.9" Section=11.4" Tread=10.4"

Not looking at a cheap set of tires, but it was 2° last night, and I don't think the best summer tire could have cut it.

Has anyone actually cracked their OEM Goodyears? It's below freezing all week in NC and I have to drive on them. I don't have a choice.

Anybody know if the new pilot 4s has better dry grip /track performance than our stock tires?

The service bulletin exists for a reason, there are pictures of cracked high performance tires there, they look at least similar to the tires on the 1LE.

There are a lot of factors that come into play here, is your car outside cold-soaking? Is the ground cold-soaked (probably at night and in the early morning). There are plenty of things that can change the temps of your tires and the pavement. It may be above freezing as far as air temp, but the pavement may have radiated enough energy to be below freezing at night, the opposite is true in the daytime in the sun. It's not quite so simple to answer if you are really trying to push your limits, however, if you want to be safe, do not drive below freezing. The service bulletin says that you can expect reduced traction at less than 40 and that they'll crack under 20. I wouldn't push the 20 at all and I'd think very carefully about anything below 35 at night/morning where there's a chance of ice or frost.

and I drive the "Highway thru Hell" in winter on a regular basis... including when theres 2 inches of snow on it...

went thru during a pretty bad blizzard early December with brand new tires.... amazing rubber....

the look of shock by truckers, SUV's and Audi's was priceless....

WTF? a CAMARO is passing me? In the snow covered fast lane?!

As much as I want to drive my car I can't chance ruining these tires so she has been sitting in the garage. Other family members want to use the garage and give me crap for not even rolling out to allow them in.

Wife has been surprisingly understanding but also gave me crap until I showed her the TSB.

My tires still look almost new after 1 track day and 5500 miles. They'll last if you don't constantly beat on them. I'll be buying a new set when these are done.

I can vouch for the temps being cold in PA, the high temps haven't gotten above the 20's in over a week, with the nightly lows in the single digits approaching 0°.

And you manage to drive just fine daily during these extremely cold days? Wow. This is impressive indeed!
How does the engine crank up in the mornings?

Can you share? I am terrified by the thought.
Maybe you can calm those who are worried about driving the car under 20-30s and the tires cracking issue?
