If this is all I can afford right now ?

These are on closeout under 600 for a set of 4

BRIDGESTONE POTENZA SPORT 245 40 20
Max Performance Summer

I have the 1LT Turbo with the 20" Run Flats

I am looking for a better quieter ride , I do not drive fast, just some fun spirited turbo driving once in a while.

I asked before and I know there are better choices, but they are just too much money overall for me anytime soon.

If you think these wont improve the ride and noise at all, let me know, if you think they would be a descent improvement, let me know.

Thanks for any opinions.

Did you read the Tire Rack test of that tire against its competition? I think anything would ride at least a little better than the stock runflats (except another runflat), but this seems like the least improvement on ride quality that you could possibly buy.

I fully understand your predicament, so it's hard to advise you not to jump on this deal. It's a great price. OTOH, if you save another $100/mo then in March you could buy a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 and be way better off on ride quality and even better performance.

I'm with Matt on this, wait and save, then get the real thing once you can already afford it instead of settling now for the least improvement.

One more note, these are likely on closeout because they're very old stock, so you would most likely be looking at replacements much sooner than you think.

From Tire Rack ratings it looks like a pretty good tire, it should definitely be a good improvement from OEM run flats, and it is at a great price.

However, note that it looks like the reason for the ~50% off is that its from 3 years ago production run (in red below) which has some significant downsides.
I recommend you google issues w/buying older production year tires and/or consult w/tire rack advisor to see if that will work okay for you.
Good luck!

You'll be happy with the Firehawks, I have them and they are excellent tires.
