Compared to my 2015 model (which I like a lot) a loaner 2018 model I drove with the newer V6 and 8 speed felt quicker (especially off the line and throttle tip-in) and was still a joy to drive.

Just a little shocked this day in age that there has not been an MCE yet, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see a change for 2021. Checy has done MCEs on models before even one year before a new generation, but at this point I just feel like they are going to ride this one out until the 3rd generation arrives.
I won't scratch off the Colorado yet, I have been following the 'fluid change' fix and waiting to see more reports come in. It's not like I can wait another year either. I'm in a 2005 Tacoma OR now, with 199k miles on it. Other than some regular maintenance, it's still going strong. I would like to get something a little newer. It would be between the Colorado ZR2 and a Tacoma OR or Pro series.

So that’s where that came from?!? It showed up on my feed when i clicked “show first unread” so I replied to it. Then when my reply posted, I didn’t see the original post. I thought whomever posted it just deleted it as I was replying. Weird.

GM is delaying the 3.0 I6 1/2 ton truck diesel engines until MY2020 due to slowed certifications by the EPA for new diesel models. GM, BMW, FCA and others are waiting to get certifications from the EPA for commencement of sales of said diesels.

No problem.

This Monte SS was my first new car so I was curious (interested) why you dug up that old post.

It was a 84 with blue bucket seat interior. They were great cars for the era.

Nice 85!

It's almost like they're listening to folks. Hot off fixing Camaro's bumper for 2020. I still think the diesel should be available in the Trail Boss but i'd prefer the 6.2 anyway if I was choosing between the two.

It will be interesting to see what the dealers order/GM builds. Even on the High Country, which I believe was the only trim that had the 6.2 available, it was rare as most seem to have the 5.3L.
