The Camaro is fine thanks, how's Yours?

I'll try activate myself a bit here so Sweden is represented as well. All of my
questions so far as a new Camaro owner could be found in this great forum,
so I'll have to think harder to come up with any unique ones .

Jó napot Árpád!

Question to you guys: does anybody know if the 2019 FL comes to Europe? Chevrolet Europe is not too open to share any information.

Yes, it will. They've just introduced the export version at the Sao Paulo Autoshow in Brazil, so I guess they will introduce it on January..

Even if they have introduced a "two versions" option package here in Italy in order to simplify the ordering process for the factory, they've stopped MY2018 production last August so they will need to start with the new model or quit the EU market. Luckily, some people working for GM Europe told me they will import the facelifted Camaro..

See you!!,

Köszi, neked is

Hey, you say LT1 in your sig, do you mean you have the V8 or the 1LT trim with the I4? And where did you get the car, from Slovakia perhaps? My parents back in Hungary both have a Chevy, but Chevrolet Hungary is no more, so I wondered.

I have the V8, in Europe, there are no different trim levels, so it’s just called Camaro. No SS badges either, but it would be 2SS in the states. I bought my car in Germany, because sadly as you say, there is no more Chevy here. Not even for maintenance, so I have to travel to Austria or Germany.

Nice car you have there!

Thanks bud. This is the best car I've ever owned, the Maggie is a freaking monster for sure, the car pulls like a freight train. It was already very good as it came from the factory, but this is another level. Finding grip is a problem unless the tires are hot, even though I only have ~550 rwhp with a conservative tune. Another (first world...) problem is that the attainable speed in the whole powerband shifted up with the supercharger, so if I stepped on it, I'd start to risk jail time much quicker, less than 10 seconds. (For the record, I never do that of course, I drive like a grandma all the time ) But I'm pretty sure it would be even worse in Hungary, with those arbitrary traffic stops.

I totally understand the lack of SS badging on the EU version, what baffles me is the removal of the lower DRL LED strips that I absolutely love. Do you happen to know why Chevy did that? The front bumper looks the same, is it because of some weird EU regulation?

Having to drive to Austria or Germany for service sucks a bit, but then at least you get to try the Autobahn and test the max speed How's your A8 doing, by the way? No shudder yet, or have you gotten it tuned already?
