Arrow Who wants the Corvette ZR1 Style Wing with ZL1 1LE Brackets?

Since I'm making both of these, I thought why not make the ZR1 style ZTX wing with the ZL1 1LE brackets for a direct bolt on solution? I'll be making the larger front splitter too. The ZL1 has 350lbs downforce at 155 MPH and the ZR1 ZTK has 900lbs. I've talked to quite a few of you track guys and the general consensus is the car could use some more downforce. So, you can do the front, the rear, or both depending on your driving style!

I already have it modeled, just need to see if there is interest to make it!

I would love a wing for an SS 1LE that bolted up to our trunk lids. From what I can tell no one makes a wing for the SS 1LE yet

Interested for SS 1LE. Any pics of front splitter yet?

I for one think it would look WAY better without the middle support, but who knows if that would put too much force on the outside ones... the APR wing only uses two, so why couldn't this?

It could as the ZR1 only has 2 supports; however, that would leave a lot of guys with open holes in their deck lid

Definitely would be interested in this. I'd love to see a photo of the prototype installed once it's ready

You are right there, the way APR gets around this is their wing comes with a small CF piece to cover the middle set of holes.

Personally it would’ be a problem for me since if I ever get a wing I will also get a CF trunk, so I will only be drilling the holes tht are needed.

Food for thought for you guys, think this one would look WAY better with just two supports.

Why not just make the middle support optional? Comes with, but can be omitted and mounting holes under the middle of the wing can be plugged?

It should be under $2k for the wing and yes I have the rest of the parts in prototyping now. I already have the splitter done as well as the standard ZL1 1LE style wing too!

Initial rendering looks really good!

I’m interested. Would love to do a test of the stock ZLE wing and this at the track whenthe season starts up again. I have a M3 race car and that wing is basically in line with the roof. Never a bad idea to have more downforce.

I think it would really depend on what you have planned for up front. That much downforce, potentially at least, could really upset the balance of the car. If something up front can be aesthetically pleasing and balance out that downforce, then sure. But I am also one of the guys that does not want to get a whole new trunk lid for just the sake of accommodating a spoiler. I’ll consider it but, it adds to my end price for this conversion.
