290K???? I believe you should be celebrating how far you got on one engine. Time for a new or rebuilt engine.

It's really not hard to swap an engine in a Jeep. And it definitely won't take a shop more than a few hours.

I got over 500k on the prior one. Engine has been pulled and used engine is going in. 130k on it, see how far it goes. I hope to 250k at least. The pistons break way too easy in these engines.

So rent a hoist and do it if it's that simple.

You can't really complain too much about labor rates if you aren't willing to turn your own wrenches.

I was expecting LS carnage, glad it wasn't. But I clicked to look at it...so I guess I really wanted to see blown up parts.
