For comparison the dry weight on a 1SS Camaro would be 3685 - 150 = 3535 lb (roughly). I think the C8 will be roughly 170 lb lighter than a 1SS manual Camaro.
They forgot to state the new C8 Attitude weighs a little too.

The interior looks like a much needed improvement over the C7. GM did a great job with the pricing.
I’m looking forward to the upcoming years and the Z06 and ZR1 versions of this thing.

I wonder how Ford is going to make out with the new GT500 being so pricey as a starting point now that this thing has hit the streets at such a reasonable price point.
I have been on the Mustang6g site today and a lot of them are cancelling their GT500 orders, True Dat straight up!!

This made the GT500 6 years old before any are made. All they did is put a supercharger on the 5.2, it is still just a Mustang 6Gen.

I read in an article that it uses a noise canceling system, similar to what Ford is doing in the GT500. I am also curious to Z51 pricing.
I am willing to bet that have treated the C8 the same as the Gen6 Camaro in development. All models and variants were taken into consideration right from the start, pre-planned for. It has worked well for the Camaro team and the two teams have been known to collaborate together before.

Are they really?!?! I’m surprised, those people over there seems to be such die hard Ford fans. If you even think about posting something negative about a mustang they go into a hissy fit !!

I haven’t been over there since the release of the C8. Browsing that forum is gonna make for interesting reading tomorrow morning as I have my coffee.

I’m glad I’ve held off on getting a GT350R. The GT500 is overpriced in my opinion. Not to mention the greed that the Ford dealers are displaying with their ADMs.

This C8 is definitely on my radar now. I can’t wait to see what GM will do with that twin turbo V8 I keep reading about.

14 Silverados some have up to 8 different recalls on them, I have written up a lot of AC discharge hoses cracking, later changed on the 15+. The 19 Silverados have about 4 right now.

But I would have to say, the Vette and Camaro have been pretty solid sans the 8 speed trans shutter issues.

I think chevy hit a home run with the new C8 - excited to see more - still love my ZLE- but I'm getting the itch

Just hate the fact that these new cars don't have manuals anymore
Hold that thought. I received this e-mail 2 days ago from the dealer I purchased from 2x this past year:
Hello,

We have 2 New Corvette ZR1 arriving today that will be Stock Inventory!!

We are getting a Shadow Gray Coupe 3ZR Manual and a Elkhart Blue Coupe 1ZR Manual. They will be online as early as tomorrow with a price of $7,500 over MSRP.

They sell every one they make and there is a waiting list for some models if that is what you're referring to. I agree it is a bargain though.

I think I will probably keep the ZLE and get the Z06 version of the C8 when its available - then I will have 2 awesome cars 1 manual and the other the auto

The pricing and performance of the C8 is just an awesome value

So the Z06 will be twin turbo or big blower. While there's plenty of room for either, my bet is TT since the high headers are set up for it.

And the frunk could be replaced with electric in a Z06 or ZR1 e-COPO style super-hybrid .
