3M Protective Film On Matte Hood?

Hey everyone, new to the forums. I just picked up a 2018 2SS 1LE. I will be doing a lot of highway driving going to work and back so I wanted to put a 3M protective film on the front end. Has anyone put the 3M film on the hood? You can get the film in matte as well. Just curious if anyone has done it and is it worth it being the hood is already wrapped from factory. Does it look goofy?

Thanks!

Yes, not 3M but Xpel Stealth. It's worth it and it doesn't look goofy.

I decided to leave the factory wrap on the hood. I'll replace it if it gets dinged up. The rest of the car has been covered in Xpel with the exception of the roof and trunk deck
