Heck, I lost my mind years ago. Since my kids can climb in and out of the back seat on their own, we have no problems. Any coupe can be a headache putting a child into a booster seat in the back. |

I had an 04 GTO from the time my youngest was 6 to 8. I also have a teen. My guess is the rear seat of the Camaro will be not all that different space wise. If you have a child that can get in and out on their own, buckle their own seatbelt etc then I am sure the Camaro will be fine. If the kids can't then I would not consider it. I like the G8 for a family, it has a nice mix of HP and day to day usability. I am looking forward to checking out the GXP which I plan on getting for the wife and I will drive the Camaro.

This is totally a family car, if you have no more than two kids and they are about 5 to 10 years old. Have you seen the rear leg room in this thing? Only small people with small spindley little legs will fit. My two boys fit this definition, and daddy needs a new V-8. Hence, the perfect family car.

when i was 6 and my brother was 3 we got a new 1978 Camaro. I can remember being small enough i laid on the seat and put my feet up. But after six months my mom was convinced we needed a bigger car. We got a brown Impala. Boy i was unhappy.
Camaro's aren't family cars, but there's no reason little kids can't ride in the back. |

I put my 3 year old and my 10 month old in the back of my Mustang all the time, the Camaro should have no problem serving family duty if needed. That's actually one of the many reasons why i bought the Mustang and maybe future '10 Mustang or '10 Camaro,i wanted a interesting car for my boys to grow up with. I grew up with my dad's '71 Formula 400 and that car had a MAJOR influence on my liking cars period.
