hey guys whats up just saw this thread, always wanted a bike, going to go for my license over the next few months. question whats a good style of bike for someone with lower back problems , I assume something that keeps me upright. something easy to ride. I love the sport bike look but the reality of me hunch over for hours on end leads me to believe I will end up selling the bike. something not to heavy say 400lbs , and not huge . Harleys are a beautiful bike but I know its not my style. But man there are so many choices and bikes out there makes the decision making so hard.

Thanks

How much you willing to spend?
2 wheels or 3 wheels?
What's your age bracket?
Are you planning to trade up after you are comfortable?
Type of riding are you planning, twisties, cruizin', distance, city?

Motorcycles are not that forgiving on backs especially on bumpy - rough roads, but your aanswer can help us steer you in the right direction..

Mid - life crisis at age 45?...lol
I would steer away from sport bike unless you can find a sport-cruizer...busa/Zx 12/FZr.

Most folks here posted pix of their cruisers....does manufacturer tickle your fancy?..suzuki, honda, harley...??
Also bike season is dwindling down so it's a buyers market between September to January.

Craigslist is a start, but go cruiser. .and nothing older than a 2008 with about 15 miles...

My fellow motorcyclist..Please chime in......

My current bike is a 2009 Yamaha VMax (240 Avon rear, Holeshot midpipe, custom resonators, modified air intake, K&N filter, ECM tuned by Tim Nash - VMax Guru, windshield. Mods in-progress: license plate relocator, integrated rear turn signals, plasma rod front turn signals/running lights, bar-end mirrors):

Before that I had a 2005 25th Anniversary VMax (Stage 7 Jet Kit, full exhaust - can't remember brand, bar-end mirrors, and LED turn signals & tail-light):

2012 Heritage Softail Classic.

Was pretty much one of my dream bikes. Had to sell it earlier this year to cover selling our home at a huge loss when the Army moved me unexpectedly.
