Using Hydro2 on the wheels

So it was time after my recent 3100 mile trip to get back to my 19/20 crays and I thought I would try a new product that's running around the detail sites getting rave reviews. Think of it as a "Mini Cquartz" coating product with a unique application procedure. It lasts 3 months and is a silca product. It is made by the makers of Cquartz and it's called "Carpro Hydro2" so go to Autogeek.net and read about it. $30 lasts a year or two....

it works like this:
1. wash wheel with dawn or any good soap that strips wax...leave the wheel wet - if you are OCD, dry and wipe down with alcohol/water and re-wet....
2. spray 2-3 sprays of the hydro2 on the wheel - try and stay out of the sun
3. Immediately hit it with the hardest setting that your hose will allow, some even use a pressure washer - instantly it foams a mini amount and spreads on the wheel
4. Dry normally with a waffle weave, MF or blow dryer

so what so great about this? Because it gets in all the little places you can't apply; like the corners, creases, badges etc...complete coverage...would be great for a complex web wheel like the TSW Nurburgring/HRE design...

done

wait a hour and put some water on it - it flies off! Used for wheels here, but made for the whole car...

update: I'm finding I hydro2 about every 5-6 weeks, but it's a base car that does not dust, and I'm in Florida good weather...z51's may need it more. I really notice that the nooks and crannies of the caliper don't hold dirt like they used to, that's worth it right there...also, I'm doing 4-5 spritzes per wheel with a special one shot spritz on the caliper...

after you dilute it (mandatory) , the bottle will last about 6-8 months at this pace.....

1. yes it will work on all wheels
2. to get all previous stuff off the wheel - wash with dawn dishwashing detergent and then spray and wipe on 25% rubbing alcohol/75% water - alcohol from CVS
3. then do the procedure outlined here...
4. I don't remove mine, but it would be a more complete job...

avail at also detailers image and the carpro website....

in fact, they almost have a sample size:

http://www.carpro-us.com/exterior-su...centrate-50ml/

autogeek told me just the size I mentioned is being slimmed down in inventory, not the product.

Dear
Keith,

We are writing in reference to the order you placed with us. The 50
mL. CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant has been discontinued and will not be
returning to stock. Would you like to cancel that item and have the towels ship
out? Please let us know and we would be happy to help you with this.

I got that and so I called and they told me they were not carrying the product- so I don't know. I ordered it from Amazon , cause I trust your reviews
