ZL1 LT4 vs Corvette LT4
Here are some pictures I took of the new LT4 S/C cover on the ZL1 and how it compares to the original LT4 Cover used on the ZO6 Corvettes. You can see that it is about an inch taller than the first design. Engineers at the Camaro Rally said that it helps to cool the rear cylinders which was one of the overheating problems on the ZO6 Corvettes. They seemed pretty confident that the ZL1's will not overheat or pull timing because of heat.

I'm sorry guys but these new generation engines remind me of some kind of carrying case. They are so unattractive they have to hide them with covers.

I am pretty sure there needs to be a certain amount of space beyond what would work functionally between the hood and the top of the engine. This is something i would def swap to if i own a Z06

ZL1 LT4 has a larger SC cover for more cooling also, ZL1 LT4 has TRI-Y headers where as the Zo6 LT4 does NOT.

I'm pretty sure that there are some internal changes to the heat exchanger to aid cooling as well.
