2015 ZL1 faint whining noise on manual at idle

Maybe someone can verify this for me.When my Zl1 is idling in neutral I hear a faint whining noise. When clutch is pushed in it goes silent.I know this is a heavier clutch so was wondering if this it's normal.Normally bad signs are if you push the clutch in and hear noises not when it's released. Its done it from day one ,mileage is 1,400 miles anyone have he same noise it's very faint.

Thx

It could be the throwout bearing. You will know shortly if it is.

I experienced the following up until about 5000 miles. I notice more gear noise in my transmission after a 15 minute drive. I changed the rear end fluid at 5000 miles with GM limited slip gear oil, it was dirty. Full of break in particles. I also changed the trans fluid with Amsoil and the engine. I took it on a little road trip and all is fine now. Sam

It is very faint but you can hear it.i was thinking if it was the throw out bearing it would make the noise when clutch was pushed in?

Just picked up my new 2015 ZL1 ... bought in MN .. drove it home to NM this past weekend working my way around the big messy winter storm. Exact same noise as you describe and I've now got 1500 miles on it. Thinking I may get it in for at least first oil change and chat w/service guys

I am going to jack this thread but would you start another thread and tell us how you liked the Z driving that far and your experiences about the trip. What kind of fuel mileage, do you have nav and how did that work, etc. thanks

The factory Clutch is a dual disc system, GM went to GREAT lengths to make it quiet but it does have some noise. Likely nothing, turn up your Radio.

My car used to have that faint noise at idle, clutch out, gear shift in neutral, A/C on, radio off, NPP closed... yes, now my car has a Spec ST dual disc clutch and it is WAY WAY WAY louder. :(
