Questions about Holley's Sniper Intake Manifold

I've read all the post about them, and how they arent ideal for NA applications.

I am considering using one on a Dart 427 Supercharged setup. But first have some questions for those who've run them.

1.Does the TB placement remain in the stock location? I dont want to re-plumb my superchargers piping to meet the new location.

2. Does either 92mm or 102mm version accept the stock LS3 Throttle body? and if so, must it be flipped? Everyone I've seen has it flipped, which would require me to tear into my wiring harness to create slack in the wires, as they are already tight.

3. Is there a MAP placement solution that does not require welding?

Knowing the stock ls3 intake will probably do just as well as this intake, depending on your answers, I may just skip it.

I also know that the vacuum ports are placed underneath, which sucks, but I already have a vacuum block, and will just need the main 3/8 hose.

Also, just to clarify, this Sniper low pro, does clear the stock hood, cowl and wiper arm, correct?

It looks like they have made updates. Just found this on Holleys website:


"Now includes mounting provision for MAP sensor on rear of Intake plenum."

Should have done this from the beginning. Just called Holley. They accept all 4 bolt GM TBs, the Low Profile version shouldnt move the TB location much. And it does clear the hood and cowl and wipers.

The vacuum ports are British style Pipe Fitting thread. Not NPT.
