I had wanted several Camaros when I was young but never got any of them. My dad bought an 85 IROC back in 92 or 93 and I drove it some. He wouldn't let me make payments on it and buy it from him. I bought a Firebird when I was 22 back in 1996, loaded 95 V6. I traded that for a Blazer(at my wife's request and SHE was the one that wanted the Firebird in the first place). Later bought her a 94 Camaro V6. WE got divorced and in 2002 I started looking at Camaros again and decided to buy a new one when GM offered the 0% for 60 month financing. I picked up my SS brand new from the dealer. Last summer my dad FINALLY decided to let me make payments on the IROC since he hasn't had any luck selling it all these years. I can't wait to start driving it! I loved it back when I was first in college and got to cruise it around in the summer! I can't wait for a 5th gen either! As soon as I can order one up like I want and get it for employee pricing I'll have one!

I was 7 years old when Mom brought home her 73 Camaro Type LT..She loved it and I can remember always wanting to wax and clean it for her. A few years later she got hit in the rear and it was never the same so it was sold. At the age of 17 when I graduated high school in 83 I found a 69SS Camaro (my daily driver) that was nice looking but had some bondo issues and such--By 1994 I had completely restored it. Mom wanted a new Camaro in 84 and I talked her up to a Z28. In 2000 I purchase an SS Camaro Now the family had 3 Camaros. My parents recently had some foreclosure issues with their home and I cleared out the garages in order to save it from demise. The house was saved..My 69 went to a great home with dibs on getting it back if I might desire someday. My sights are set on this new Camaro and I'm hoping to be solvent enough to put one of these babies in my crib!

My first F body was an 85 Trans Am, first years of the tuned port (305), first year of the whale tail spoiler option. Had it fully loaded, lear siegler buckets (the Recaro's only came in the tan interior), sub woofer with variable gain, T tops, the whale tail spoiler, WS6 suspension and I even had the giant chicken on the hood.
I currently have a 2005 Corvette and can't wait to add the 2009 Camaro to the garage. |

My first Camaro (my first car) was a 1969 Camaro. 350, with a TH400 behind it. Wierd. In the first year I converted it to a 4speed. It now belongs to my cousin who made it a Yenko replica with a 427. I was 19 (1986)

I'm on my fourth Camaro now
My first Camaro was an 1986 2.8 Liter V6. Silver with Red interior couldn't get out of its' own way. I then got a 1992 25th Anniversary Edition RS. Black with gray interior. That was my first V8. It was the 305 V8. That car was beautiful I then got a 1997 Z28. This was my first 350ci. Only problem was it was an automatic. I fixed it up really nice with rims and a spoiler but I had to trade it in for my dream car. My current car is my 2001 Camaro SS. Black with ebony interior. I was lucky enough to have this one built from the ground up to my specs. I made sure to get this one with a stick. I'll never get an automatic again. It only has 31000 miles on it. I only drive it when it's nice out. I might have to get rid of this one for my new fantasy Camaro that'scoming out soon. I can not wait to drive that one. |
