Great job Chevy for listening to the community. I still think they main problem with the facelift is the headlights aren't dark enough like the pre facelift thus making them look less aggressive.

Maybe they will fix that too. I don’t like the headlights’ “stripe”

I wonder if maybe GM planned this. Didn't notice before but the panel cut lines for the crossbar across the grille seem to be placed strategically to pop it off and replace with a body color bumper.

While I think the color is awful, it is amazing how much better it looks with the bow tie in the "right" place and teh crossbar body color. Still not wild about the looks but it is such a huge improvement IMO

It's still an ugly overdone front bumper no matter what you do. Get rid of the "cheeks" along with the other changes (bowtie in grill and body color center bar) and then maybe it'll start looking passable. However, you still have the "goggles" for tail lights to contend with.
Overall, not a very satisfying design even back to the original '16-18 models. I just hope they knock it out of the park like they did with the 5th gen for the upcoming 7th gen. |

The best feature is the body color bar separating the two grill areas and doing away with the snowplow look. Will this be available in other colors???

Beautiful! Chevy designers... if you ever actually read this stuff with your own eyes (it could be brutal I'm sure) I must say this is fantastic! It looks BADASS! The 'fangs' on the sides of the front look great with the painted center. An aggressive new feature to the already great 2016, a great refresh look. Bowtie looks right. I love it.
Very cool that the team was able to swallow a little pride and listen to the fans/buyers/car lovers. Because it has resulted in a great looking vehicle which only lead to good things. One design feature of the 2019 SS I always enjoyed that the top grille is ever so slightly wider than the 2016. It wasn't as obvious with the blackout middle. It stays the same width all the way across unlike the 2016 which pinches in the middle. Helps give it that classic muscle car look just a tad narrower. This is a WIN. I'd even consider upgrading my 2016 fascia to this over an aftermarket ZL1 front end. Without the wide front fenders I feel the aftermarket ZL1 front end looks a tad squished in sometimes. But this is meant for the SS fenders. Make this a quick 2020 refresh and be done with it, Chevy!! DO IT! |
