I believe so. I think they are on track to deliver all the model 3's. There are so many here now

I can't fathom how they weren't 'on track' to deliver all of them from day 1. Delivering a couple thousand cars per week from 1 plant isn't exactly the hardest task to accomplish in the automotive world.

Isn't exactly the hardest task if you are Ford or GM.. But they were a startup from California. Come on. How many startup auto companies have there been over the years? I think they have done pretty damn good for just rolling the first car off the assembling line barely 10 years ago.

All the other companies have been doing this for a loooooooong time.

10 years seems long enough to get a grasp on the manufacturing process.

Gee... I remember a company that started out building motorized bicycles out of shack. In 15 years, they were the largest manufacturer of motorcycles.

Even if it's 2,000-2,500 a week, that sounds like a huge improvement and a positive trend....8,000-10,000 units a month is a decent number, and likely to enlarge....

Too bad I guess for some that Tesla hasn't gone out of production completely and folded up. Seems like the more Tesla gets criticized the more successful it becomes. Too bad it disappoints and irritates some that they still have a huge customer base willing to wait for their cars and that production is actually increasing as time goes by.

Maybe they are staying in business and producing more cars just to piss some people off....lol

So was that post supporting Tesla deleted by the author or a moderator?

So their lack of experience is an excuse to not study best practices? To not hire competent & experienced logistics personnel (and then listen to them)?

When there is more than a century of experience doing a thing (mass producing & delivering automobiles), only the incompetent should claim ignorance. There are thousands of people you can hire who know. There are books on the subject. There are masters courses (and programs) specifically on the subject of industrial supply chain management. This stuff has long been figured out. Tesla isn't special; the Model 3 is just another car.

Furthermore, if Tesla is struggling to deliver 10,000 Model 3s per month, what was Elon thinking ~2 years ago when he said that they'd be building 10,000 per week by now? Was the idea to just fill the surrounding area with freshly built Model 3s until he learned enough about logistics (on the fly) to deliver them in a timely manner? Or did he think he had this stuff all figured out, then whoopsie: he was wrong. Or did he just assume that things would work out fine despite not knowing how to do it? Do any of those scenarios paint him as being competent?

At 15 years old, Tesla is no longer a startup.

Yes, in 1910 when no one else was building motorcycles. Like Wibur and Oreville. And if you died trying to operate one the manufacturer had no responsibility. If your ModelT fell apart and killed you it was your fault. Even if your Stanley Steamer self-destructed, you died and they continued production.
Ah, the good old days, when people were responsible for their own actions.

dunno if you're talking about mine, but it was a drunken rant that was not productive, had a moment of clarity and deleted it.
