2021 Chevy Trailblazer

So, either the search function doesn't work, or there really isn't much chatter about this vehicle. I found a 2021 Trailblazer forum, which is a little lackluster, but understandable because it's a new car. Was wondering if anyone has one and their thoughts on it. Or if you don't have one, what are your thoughts on it?

Wonder if the aftermarket scene will be good for it. For a small SUV or CUV if you will. It seems like they could sell a pretty good amount of these. I think it's a pretty sexy little car.

We test drove an Oasis Blue. I was actually impressed with the small turbo engine. 1.3L 3 cylinder with 155hp and 174tq.

Some pics in case anyone hasn't seen/heard of them:

We had one for about week for a service loaner and I did not like it all. Way to small and underpowered for me.

One of the fastest selling cars in GM's lineup. RS and Activ models are widely popular.

Dealers were saying the other month they needed 4 times the supply GM was able to provide so Trax production was cut to get more Trailblazers out.

One thing I did notice, was that the RS package alone, doesn’t include LED headlights. You need the technology package to get those.

Other things I was pleasantly surprised about were the panoramic sunroof and the hands free lift gate and LED logo. It’s been a long time since we bought a car, and for being a lower scale model, the fully loaded is pretty nice for $30k tops.

Good chance we get one this weekend.

More the reason to get aftermarket parts! CAI or rotofab where you at?!

It seems silly to produce both at the same time.

I was wanting to lease this after my Trax was up but I couldn't find an AWD model. Only reason I wanted AWD is to get a normal transmission and not the CVT.

Must be a regional thing. I can only find AWD up here in PA

I would guess it's the typical GM "sell the old model alongside the new one to protect residuals for the first few years and allow for fleet dumping" thing they always do. I wouldn't expect Trax to live for much longer in its current form.

I am glad that it is selling and/or has interest. I am not a fan of this, and to me it represents the sad state of affairs that not only Chevrolet is in, but perhaps all of GM. There is no bold style, variety of models and options (unless you like cross-overs), boring model statement and of course no bravado outside of Camaro and corvette. The Silverado, to me, is their only single model that carries some interest.

Appears to be assembled overseas, what a shame. Also wonder what US part content percentage is. Not a bad looking mini SUV but nothing our household would have interest in.

In the future, I may consider one as a winter daily/ sacrifice to salt. The hurdles for me are: I hate dohc and turbos and clean enough 2.2 Cavi's or small pushrod 6 cars are rare anymore, I hate the busy obnoxious creased designs on post C7 Chevrolet's. But as a pure beater? Maybe.

Have you noticed the lower priced, US assembled, domestic make, cars are all gone? What is there left? Malibu? Escape?

I'm glad the OP used the term car, instead of the stupid marketing word crossover. I should try to stick to calling crossovers Equinox & smaller - an econobox. And anything newBlazer & larger - a minivan.

Didn’t realize the 2022’s are expected to be released this spring. So within the next few months. Might wait for those. Some new colors available. We were thinking of getting Scarlet red, but that will be discontinued and coming out with crimson red. Any current GM car with that color? I also read the manual climate control is changing to electric. Does that mean no more knob, just from the touch screen?
