Im still trying to figure out what all i need to safley run a cam. some cam kits include things that others dont and say its required and im not trying to get upsold.

basically all I want is the chop noise Im not to pressed about hp but any gains are nice. If i could just buy the stage 1 cam itself and be safe running that Id be content. Whats the bare minimum I need to run a basic cam on an otherwise stock engine.

do I need Valve springs, heads and all that other stuff for a stage 1 cam or can I just buy the cam itself and be fine.

Right now all I have is 2 inch longtubes and a CAI, I plan on getting the LT2 intake with a ported throttle body later.
