What to tell shop installing my Headers?

I heard there is a wiring issue and the passenger side coolant wires will melt if not dealt with correctly. How. Should I tell the shop to deal with this? Also are there any other things to look out for when installing long tubes?

Tell them to move that harness behind the coolant tank, wrap as needed and zip tie the harness so it can’t sag later. They will most likely move or remove the coolant tank to do the header install.

There are a few lines I wrapped in the area of the collector.

Also, have them check clearance of the steering wheel shaft.

I’ll also mention to keep an eye out for any oil that may leak at the oil fill dipstick if they don’t seat it properly.

Great advice... I also applied heat wrap to a few other lines near by...

Are your headers coated?

A good performance shop that knows what they are doing will know the ins and outs of putting headers on a camaro by now. The 6th gen is 8 years old. If they don’t I would be looking for a new shop as they probably have no idea how re tune the car for the headers they have never done. Headers are a super simple install.
