Can my driveway entrance damage my suspension?

at the foot of the driveway is a drop of about 6inches. It’s kind of slanted inward a bit so it’s not terrible but I don’t like the feeling of going over it when backing into my garage.

You have a pic of it?

If you are going over it slow why would it damage your suspension?

might take out a splitter if you plan on installing one.... I see no issues with the suspension question if you drive slow

I have been crawling over a steep curb to get in and out of my driveway for seven years and have not had any damage to the suspension, wheels or tires. As others have said go slow and if possible, go one wheel at a time. Doing so increases the chances of not scraping any low to the ground body parts.

With steep driveways I found going over it head on was more doable than at an angle. The car is so stiff it would pick up a rear wheel and make the ABS and Traction control wig out (Mustang and two Camaro's). But head on I'd get a little scrape on the bottom of the belly pan, not even the splitter. No harm done, pretty much.

Pretty sure driving at about 5mph on a 6" drop is not going to damage anybodies suspension.

5mph on a 6" drop is NASTY! Holy hell yes. 1 -2 MPH not so much, like drifting over it.

Its like running off the curb back onto the ground. OK maybe 5mph is a bit much, but a driveway I assume you are just creeping along and you know where the drop is so you go off the drop at controlled speed.
