Rear Noise

My ZL1 was doing the same thing. I found just a little grease on my right muffler. I figured out it was the right rear CV joint leaking. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the CV joint and right side drive shaft. No more noise!

I'm also getting a clunk noise, From a dead stop only though. I initially thought it was something in the trunk but I fear it's a loose suspension piece now.

The only time I hear the clunk is driving slow over speed bumps.

I think this is obviously just something that happens on our cars and can conclude nothing is loose.

I doubt that. I was testing it tonight on bumpy roads and the drivers side rear is completely silent while the passenger side clunks over almost all the bumps. It's pretty crappy, it definitely sounds like there is a problem.

I looked under the car today and saw something I think might be making the noise. Looks like part of the axle might be coming in contact with a bolt. Something has worn a circle into it. What do you think?

That's what I was thinking... I am also wondering if this is a problem how every other ZL1 isn't affected.

anyone else think it looks like it could be hitting? I am going to get under the car a little more this weekend and really mess with it to see what's going on.
