I went through my insurance. cost me 100 bucks. Tech told me that for the HUD windshield is was alittle over 600 for parts. Well worth using the comprehensive insurance imo

A little over 600 is very high. The HUD windshield should be a hair under 400. Had mine replaced at the 6 month mark, rock from a semi made a large crack and the 110 degree heat made it spider all the way across in one day, so I had no choice. Had $500 deductable at the time so all out of pocket. Now have $50 deductable.

Many times a good glass shop can repair a small glass chip without replacing the whole windshield. The trick is to get it in soon before the chip can spread.
It's worth checking out.

My comp deductible is $0. Comes in handy . Let's hope I don't need it ob the camaro though.
