Audible difference after adding CAI
For those of you who have added and aftermarket CAI, have you noticed an audible difference either from inside the car or at the exhaust? TIA!

most CAI will have a slight whistle or whine compared to stock.
part of having a less restrictive intake with no baffles.

Inside the car yes and the motor will be louder. The exhaust however will not be affected

I had CAI and Exhaust installed at the same time and the first time I rev'd it up to hear the exhaust my words were "Wow that CAI sounds awesome" cool sucking sound
I was standing outside the car with my foot on the gas when I did it. Don't notice it when driving. |

I put magna flow mufflers on my car a week after I had it. I put a cold air intake on it last week and I swear ot not only changed the exhaust but it actually feels like I have a little more torque

Yeah, you'll hear the throttle body open as soon as you tap the gas and you'll hear a pretty noticeable sucking sound. Sounds cool.

Adding a CAI will definatly change the sound. Part of the stock intake has baffles to keep your ride nice and quiet. Won't be anything major though, but different.

Yep, it sounds cool when you put the gas down. And it does feel like a little more oomph!

We use to flip the air cleaner top over back in the carb days and get that 4 barrel sound SKDOHOOOOO!!! use a tank of gas just to hear that for barrel. I know whats a carb ? I think thats why the cars don't come with a cai from the factory because there load.
