Jack??

Where is the jack for the cAr? I've read that it not included in the car? When did this start happening? You have to buy a spare tire kit? Wtf. I guess the salesmen really forget to tell me that!

No, it comes with a air pump and that tire sealant crap... I would never use it. Worked at a tire shop a while ago, and they said if they ever get a tire in that has had that in they automatically throw the tire out, too hard to balance after. And it makes a mess of the rim too!

lol.. I was just as surprised as you are.. ive read that a number of cars don't come with jacks or spare tires and its been going on for a while.

GM spare tires don't fit the SS since it lacks brake clearnce

used to be a guy that sold kits on ebay that was popular but has since stopped.

there are a number of threads here on what people have done to make their own spare tire kit.

1. jack
2. wheel spacer (for the brembo clearance)
3. spare
4. what have you to remove lugs

oh.. and of course the salesman didn't mention anything!!
I don't see how you could expect anything less

Right. Thanks guys I was pretty suprised to find an air pump. I guess I'll buy a couple of stock wheels and keep them around. I was going to buy two rear wheels anyways to mount some drag radials on. But really I can't believe there is no jack and no spare lol

I knew about the no spare tire, I actually had a flat yesterday at home, went to use the air pump, and it woundnt even come on at all. I was pissed. Good thing I was home, I just got the jack, etc out of my truck and took the wheel off and brought it to the tire shop. I would hate to have had a flat out on the roads.

It's a scam tied to AAA.

I guess as many as it takes... I was just expressing my frustration about it.

I didn't want to take a chance either. I bought a used stock front rim and new tire, then went to the dealer to get the jack, lug wrench, etc. I keep everything in my trunk at all times now.

No spare, no problem...

...just get some kid to hold up the axle and run along side while you drive to the nearest gas station. A buck a mile should be more than enough....
