Still a lot less unsprung weight at each corner!
If/when they build the 6Gen Z/28 they'll need some performance parts to separate it from the ZL1/1LE, enter CCB's...

Kinda makes you wonder what they could've done to the car with the $8,000 cost of the CCB's. Honestly, besides 100 more horsepower, there's nothing they could've done to improve the Z/28.

CBBs are still part of the current Z07 package right?

Who cares, the CCB look bad-ass on the Z/28; fills the wheels real-estate perfectly.
Steel rotors on a Z/28? I'll pass. |

Had not heard that concerning CCB without Z07 for $500 less. What is the option code for that?

I think its more advantageous to have CCBs even on a strictly street driven car. No dust, no rust after washing or rain, and they will never wear out with street driving so replacement cost is a non-issue.. |

Order only BremboŽ carbon-ceramic brakes and I imagine it just has J57. April had a $5000 GM rebate for J57 equipped cars. 2017 Z06 Option pricing Z07 - $7995 (same for GS Z07) J57 - $7495 |

Our 2015 Z06 has the Z07 option but found out since model year Z06 2016 the J57 option had CCB as a stand alone option. Learned something there so thanks. Another note, the additional aero pieces with the Z07 package is correct but they require ordering an additional package. bottom line, more cost then just the Z07 alone cost. At least it was that way with our 2015 model.

If you order J57 alone its $7,495, if you order Z07 it's $7,995 plus either $2,995 for the carbon flash ground effects or $3,995 for the carbon fiber ground effects.

I've never personally experienced carbon ceramic brake rotors/pads. Is there absolutely zero brake dust produced? I have the Hawks Carbon Ceramic pads which reduce brake dust by a tremendous margin but not 100%.

You will never find anything that doesn't produce brake dusting. Just think about how braking systems operate. Can it be minimized significantly by materials? Yes. Eliminated, no.

That is my thought as well, however the statement made by some who actually have carbon rotors/pads are stating different and I wanted to here their actual testimony. Do you have a Z/28 or a vehicle with full carbon braking system?
