Would my engine cover still fit with 25mm insulator?

Can I still put my engine cover on with Mace's 25mm insulator. I read somewhere with factory hood it would involve some trimming, but my new hood has a bigger cowl and doesn't have the hood liner, so would it fit?

The isolator barely lets you replace the engine cover, so I would say no to 25mm even with trimming. But like most things I could be wrong.

i've seen somewhere the post can be raised for it to fit. i'm interested in this too bcus i spent enough time painting my engine cover and i'm planning on doing the 25mm insulator as my next mod.

I haven't formally put my engine cover back on, but I've layed it in place and the hood closes without interferance.

Another member found an extension (off the Pontiac G8) for the oil fill opening that is exactly 25mm tall and should screw right in.

After that you've just got to raise the support rod on the passenger side, and the only other attachment is on the top of the IM (couple of those push-pull body panel pins).

In other words: Yes, I believe you can do it.
