If you order a car and have no patience you're in for a bad time.

Most key is when you order that car that dealer should be able to tell you how many orders he has in front of yours. Only THEN is it about an allocation. If he get's 2 ZL1's allocation in a month and you're #15 on his list you're in for a very long wait. If you get one at all. Look on your workbench order sheet with your order number on it, you might see a "priority" number on there...if so that's how many other orders the dealer has in front of you.

I had a 21 on order for 90 days, then a 22 on order for 230+ days, and I finally got my 23.

I ordered a 2023 LT1 SGM on March 17th. It was moved to a 2024 model about two weeks ago.

I have no idea when I will get the car. I do know I will not get the color. It has been discontinued.

Such is consumer life in 2023.

Blame China for the supply problems the world is facing. Took me 10 months from order to delivery last year and now it seems like GM has been stockpiling parts for their last hoorah collector cars. Hopefully everyone gets one before they stop making them.

I’m not sure how it would have been moved to a 2024 two weeks ago? It will have to be reordered on June 15th to be a 2024. You will also have a new order number.

Waiting since September 2021 for a 2SS 1LE. Canadians are getting screwed on allocations and there's no transparency as to which dealers will get them or when.

The thing that annoys the hell out of me is the way GM has handled this entire business of ordering and being so damned tight-lipped about the '24s. We hear last fall that '24 is the last year, that there will a "Heritage Edition" option.

Kudos to you guys who ordered your '23s then, because I decided to wait until more info about the '24s was available, which REAL info didn't happen until March-May, when we find out June 15th is the last order date, but do we really believe they actually took any orders the way lots of us have been saying we weren't getting allocations??

As of right now, the only pricing we see is for the CE option, but we still don't know if the base prices are the same. So those of us that waited to decide which year model to plunk down $55k on, got screwed because of the lack of info.
I understand the dynamics of supply chain issues and trying to plan out the parts quantity to cut down on too many unused/surplus parts, but damn GM, how's about giving us some friggin' info to make a hefty financial decision on?! I wanted a 2SS 1LE in Shadow gray, a color decision that ALONE took me a month to settle on, and now that color is discontinued.
Thanks a lot.

So now my hopes are on the '24 orders, with a different color
