Wow that sounds all too complicated for me. For those that read the forums I would not buy the A8- how reliable will it be with more miles and as the car gets older. Mine also shifted strange since day one. In the two to three shift the trans seems like it would slip- the tach would go up- around 800 RPM from where it was in second gear, then shift to third, then the RPM's drop. It never shifted that crisp.
The new 10 speed automatic is worlds better. I drove a new 2019 Colorado ZR2 with the 10 speed and wow it shifted so quick and crisp- like rapid fire compared to the A8.
