Rip to my llt
I have been with my car for over 4 years and it was maintained pretty well. Around 10pm on August 21st, I was going to the movies with my buddy and on our way there we had stopped to get some food. Once we finished eating, we hopped in the camaro and when I started the car it had a very slow crank but ran fine at the time. So we continued on to the movie theater. I hated parking out in the open so I went to the parking garage and I would usually park on the top of it. as i was going up the last ramp it had made a knocking noise that was very loud. We parked and popped the hood and the sound was bad. while the hood was open the car died. Then we looked down into the engine bay and saw alot of oil. I called my mom and asked her if she could pick us up since my car wouldn't start at all. We ended up seeing sausage party because she was going to be a while.

Wow, how often did you change the oil and what oil was in there?
Some of us went to 3k oil change intervals using semi synthetic.

Well 2nd LLT within a month. Just commented on another knocking one. Like TooCool5 said, after my new motor I switched to 3000 mile oil changes and Full Synthetic. Might be a waste of money, might not, I hope to never find out.

I try to always do 3k FULL syn oil changes. Trying to not risk failure.

Need more information. How many miles on the OD? How often were oil changes performed? What type/brand of oil did you use? Did you notice any oil burning/loss? What mods have you done to your car? Are you the original owner? Do you do your own maintenance or pay for it?

It's an LLT of course there was some oil loss:P lol jk. Good rule of thumb for these motors is to check the oil the morning after a gas fill up, and always use the step above the recommended maintenance. They say conventional oil is fine - Use Full Synthetic. Recommended Oil changes at 5000miles - Do every 3000miles. They say 87octane is fine - Use 93. Live by the "one up" rules and your cars will last twice as long
