Couldnt slide in new Axle back exhaust!!
I'm having a hard time sliding in fully my MRT 2.0 axle back exhaust.
The right exhaust fits in perfectly, but the left one it barely did. I think it only went in like half an inch, is that find? |

It probably got bent during shipping, smack it in with a hammer. Or go to a muffler shop and have them do it.

Won't be able to open that with a hammer. Need to get a pipe expander, like what a muffler shop has to open up pipes. Try stopping by a shop with it in hand if possible to open for you so you can complete the install.

This will be the best way to get it back to a perfect circle! We wouldn't recommend hammering it, since you risk making it even more out shape.

All good guys, I needed to cut a half inch more on my left stock pipe since it was still hitting one of the metal screw near the hangers after that the pipe wouldn't go totally in anymore, and it was still making this rattling sound. So I had to be more aggressive on my new Exhaust, thats when we open up more of the MRT 2.0 muffler since it has 2 slices on the diameter sides of the tube and we had to hammer it with a block of wood and walllaaa! Job is done!
Thanks to all who suggested for help. I didn't know about the pipe expander until now. Thanks And I didn't know it wasn't recommended to hammer it we were losing hopes that night. |
