Adding headers and a cold air will not harm your motor unless you have someone tune it waaaaaay too lean. It's basically bulletproof with a decent tune. You can get that RWHP with headers and a cold air as long as it's a dynojet.

Don't waste you time with the LS9 cam, That was the first cam I put in my car only for curiosity sake. I'm on cam #4 now. Anyway the LS9 picked up at the very top about 12hp but lost a boat load down low in the range you drive it. Felt very sluggish IMO. You will not be happy with it. If your going to do a cam, research first and talk with the right people. Bigger isn't always better remember that.

I would love to keep my warranty intact so what are some other mods I can do to reach my goal? Like I said preferably keeping warranty intact...
Your goal is very easy, in fact it is common to go right past it 460-470 RWHP

CAI brand cold air kit
LT headers w high flow cats
JRE Cam package
SCT X4 tuner
JRE custom tuning

Simple 1 stop shopping.

Your car could sound and run like these

Shoot me an email for more details.

Go with a Custom Grind from a respected shop + add atleast long tubes, you'll easily get over 425whp.

If you're concerned about voiding the warranty and want better performance, start cutting weight.

Remove the passenger seating, carpet, headliner, trunk liner, tire pump and fix-a-flat, engine cover, front license plate, washer fluid reservoir, smaller brakes and wheels...the list goes on and on!

Oh, and never fill up past 1/4 tank - at 6lbs a gallon, that's a hell of a weight savings!

You can get close to 425 WHP with bolt-ons and tuning, but any more and you're going to need a good cam package. As others have said, the LS9 is not worth the money/effort. I'd be happy to talk about your needs and goals and get you setup with something to meet them.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler

Headers, CAI, ported TB, U/D pulleys and a full dyno tune. Should be in the 400-420rwhp range, depending on dyno and weather. Camaro with electric PS tend to dyno more too.

Basic weight saving will help the car a lot; rear seats, trunk, braille battery, drag wheels or lightweight 18'' wheels/tires.

Oh and forget your warranty. If you want to keep warranty; high flow cats, ported TB, U/D pulleys(hard to notice when just looking), diablosport intune with a custom tune(cant be detected if put back to stock, they say..), CAI and weight reduction. They should not notice the HFC and all the other are easily removed.

Get a catch can too to keep your engine clean.

I've read GM can detect any/all of these changes so don't count on it.

To answer the question. You wont be getting 425 without a tune. Which equals warranty gone. Like 62nalide brought out...whats the point? You shooting for numbers to talk about or performance? If its just numbers you could do minor things like CAI, Ported TB, Cats, Catback, U/D Pulley's and then go find a generous dyno to make a run on that'll tell you you have 425. Look at all the people who have all the same mods. Some barely at 400 and others at 430 plus.

I have cai, headers, catback, x pipe, tune and I dynoed 400hp 395tq. I could add a PTB and pulleys and I might make 425hp. Full bolt ons your lucky to see 410hp.

You really don't need a cam...if you're worried about warranty, it's easier to undo headers than undo a cam.

My car dyno'd 425 rwhp with Kooks headers and cats (which I later removed), dynomax bullet exhaust, a cold air intake and tuning. Didn't need to touch the engine.
