2nd Trip to Drag Strip
Took my Camaro to the track for the 2nd time ever. 2nd time ever driving a manual trans at the track also. Results are not impressive, but I figured I would share. 1st time, bone stock I went 12.89 at 113.5 mph
Mods: Ported IM/TB and Rotofab. Still stock tune. On Racestars 17x4.5 and 17x9.5. 26x5 ET Front and 26x8.5 M&H Racemaster Bias Ply. (These tires are awesome!) Car 707. 1st slip I am on the right. So close to an 11! |

I think you should get it tuned. It should be running faster then that because your 60ft times are great, but down track it may be hurting you with the mods you have. Mine on stock tune, Rotofab and drag pack went 11.71@119 w/1.73 60ft, this is just for comparison not a dig at your car. Dyno tune may pick you up a bunch. I'm not a fan of the short slick but some have good luck with it. I've been running a 28" tall Hoosier for a couple years and on my current 10.03 Camaro. Since you are running that short tire with other mods that should be taken into consideration on your tune.

So yours is a M6, did realize that. If so very good 60ft times. I really think the M6 would benefit from a 28" tire, not the 26". The taller sidewall on the slick with the manual would probably hook better. If you look at the fast times for manuals one of our NOS guys runs the same drag pack as mine and he went 10.60's

Nice 60' with manual, I never got better than 1.9 when I had my hoosiers.
You using launch control or what rpm are you launching?

Thank you. No launch control, just holding steady RPMs with my right foot. I was not really seeing much difference in 4500-5500 rpm launches. This is likely due to my inexperience. The biggest change (which resulted in my best 60') was how quick I was getting on the gas after the clutch pedal started to go up. Once I get my left and right foot more in-tune with each other, I can try varying RPMs to see what it likes. |

No footage was taken, my apologies.
I believe the DA was around 1k. But I do not know for sure. Is there a way to look it up? |
