“General Motors has told Chevrolet dealers to stop delivery of approximately 2,000 2015 Corvettes to fix the driver’s airbag. GM has also temporarily stopped shipment of the cars from the plant in Bowling Green, Ky,” the automaker said in a statement.

“Separately, another 800 Corvettes — most of them at dealerships — are on hold because they may have been built with only one of the rear parking brake cables fully seated and engaged.”

No word on that but the first fix is in production
then inventory then customers that have already taken
delivery. Shouldn't take long.

Thank you Becky. Can you point me to or explain the real way allocation works? When I ordered I was told there was a 25% allocation on Z51s.

My order is z51 3lt. My wife and I were at the factory a couple weeks ago and they have a goal of 180 total or so per day. There were z51s coming off the line so I would think it would not take too long to get a production date.

There is allocation and constraints. The first challege is the allocation which allows the dealer to place an order. The second is the constraints that week which the allocation becomes available. Let's say that on Thurs Order Processing that the dealer has allocation to place a Corvette. The next order he wants to place is the next in line. However, the order calls for a Z51 package and he was not given the constraint. He can TRY to place the order with a backup order in place that's buildable. Come Tues when the order cycle is complete he would look to see if his order WITH the Z51 was placed or the one without. It's difficult to try and explain. Some dealers are very good at working the system and others not so much. The better the dealer understands how to work the system the better the opportunity to get some Z51 pkgs through that otherwise might not get through.
