39"+ torso guys, are you comfortable?

i know this has been covered multiple times in some aspect, and everyone ultimately says "it's how long your torso is, not how tall you are." so i measured my torso. sat on the wood floor, scooted the butt to the wall as much as possible, and measured from the ground to the top of my head. it was 39" give or take a quarter or an inch (btw, i'm 6'6" tall and obviously have a longer torso than legs).

does anyone have a similar length torso (or wouldn't mind measuring their torso) to help me understand your comfort level in the car? probably the strangest request on the forums, but hey you guys are cool i have test driven several camaros and never thought it was an issue until i read some threads and got concerned, then went to a dealer today and saw for myself. had an inch when my back was all the way in the back of the seat, 2" or more when i was slouching comfortably. leaning forward and my head hit every time, which is concerning if you want to stretch the back on a long drive :(

if you can help me out that would be great guys! i'm just having second thoughts thinking i might soon get uncomfortable in the car, and my car is on order too!! no sunroof on my car btw!

read these threads already, btw:

Get a vert, and some sunglasses, top down. You might have to pick some bugs out of your teeth, but it should work.

I'm 6'3" not measuring my torso, but I will tell you that I have absolutely no issues as far as comfort or fitting into my camaro. Oh, and by the way I have the sunroof as well.

I'm also 6'6" tall give or take a quarter of a inch...............have'nt any problems with the Gen5 seating comfort, height adjustment, line of sight or general use factors. The cars equiped with the sunroof too....................any who's I notice your measurements while sitting against the wall (Torso) and your calculations that you measured 39" from the floor to the top of your head...............and 39" equates to three feet three inches............correct? So if you're six feet six inches ( 72"+6" = 78") and (78"/2=39") seventy eight inches divided by two equals 39".........how do assertain that your torso is longer than your legs. Would'nt it be more likely that yourr torso is exactly the same measurment as your legs in inches.................just wondering. On a side note using your method......my torso and legs are also 39" in length and again..............The car fits me perfectly.

I'm 6'9" and wear a 34x38 and have had no problems with leg room. Between my torso and legs I'm pretty even.

I'm 6 ft 1 in, I traded in my '08 Mustang GT for the '11 Camaro 2LT. We go to Florida for the winter(I'm from Mich,) and I noticed my Gt was a bit more comfortable on long sections of our trip down!!
