Is my car cammed?
I got a 1987 Corvette and it has been rated to idle at 400 rpms stock. But my car idles at 900 when warm. So it would lead me to assume it is cammed.

This is what a cammed Corvette sounds like.

If it's not new, I'm not surprised. Older vehicles are not going to always keep to that rpm.

It would be odd to just have a cam only change, especially on the TPI engine. Those things don't breath well at higher rpms.
Any evidence of other changes? |

Probably sucking air somewhere it shouldn't be or maybe the idle air bypass is dirty.

Not sure where else it could be sucking air in. I know my exhaust has major leaks in the back but I'm not sure that would contribute to a higher idle. I'll have to check the idle air bypass and probably clean
