Can you clean the racing stripes?

My vinyl black stripes are beginning to look bad. With spots on it. Will
Those wash off?

Wiping them off with some detailer spray and a microfiber towel will have them looking like new in no time. I use Turtle Wax Ice detailer spray, works great!

they will probably wash off.

but then you should use something on them to protect them.

i buy aerosol detailer thats made for vinyl and it has a UV protectant in it.

it makes them look WAY better than just washing

I use Turtle Wax Ice as well. Makes them shine like the paint does.

Maybe a super super soft polish, might work. Use a spray WAX to protect them and a liquid sealant.

But thats sorta the nature of vinyl, especially darker colored vinyl, and even more especially flat or matte finish

Unhappy Having the same problem with my car's racing stripes

Hi there,
Im having the same problem with my Camaro's racing stipes. I wash it every Friday, even got the car clayed and waxed and the water spots do not come off. it almost seems that the sun is eating up the stripes. Can anyone help me with this? I've tried the dealer and have gotten the run around. I heard this is not the first time it happens with these type of stripes.
Please Help!

I got the first spray that everyone suggested. it didn't work at all. now I'm going to try and get the vrt spray and if that don't work time for new stripes I guess.

If you are still having problems with water spots on your stripes (or the paint) try a clay bar. You sometimes have to work at it but that should clean them off. After that use a sealer or wax to protect them.

DO NOT clay the matte stripes... it will damage them.
