Question Carbon Fiber with Matte Finish

I've been thinking about getting a Carbon Fiber hood with a matte finish.

Has anybody seen anything like this in the real world? All I can find are glossy finished hoods, etc.

What your referring to would be called "dry" carbon. The matte look finish is out there, only downside is usually dry carbon is alot more expensive.

I was gonna say. It comes usually with a gloss finish - why wouldn't it be possible with a matte finish.

When most people think matte, they think dry carbon fiber.

Dry carbon fiber is typically a lighter and a more consistent weave patter with less imperfections. The process for producing dry carbon fiber costs a lot more, so be prepared to spend on it. Generally, dry carbon fiber finds applications in aerospace, aviation, and racecars, but not street cars with weight reduction goals. It's just not worth the cost over wet carbon fiber.

So yeah - I was not referring to dry carbon. I was referring to a carbon fiber hood with a matte finish.
