Well since SAE ratings now apply and HP is "certified" the advertised nos. have to be pretty accurrate at the flywheel. The 6.2 L92 and the L99/LS3 are the same engines with a few mods done in each case for the differences in usage. The head casting nos. are the same on my L92 and an LS3....0821. The valves springs are different and the front cover is different because of the VVT on the L92. Intake is different as well....tunede for bottom end torque. I can tell you this for sure....I own both...L92 and L99.....The L92 will out pull the L99 from 25mph to about 70...after that the L99 goes by....be careful if you roll on with an L92 with 3.73 gears...you might get surprised.

This is the first taste of history repeating. With the fuel regs getting ratcheted up again, all the good versions of the engines will be in the trucks again.

The Vette is 30 HP more than the L99 Camaro and weighs 800 lbs less. Yes, My truck will pull my L99 from 30 to 70. Once the L99 gets wound up it goes bye bye.
