SS underbody felt shields for Lt1

Can someone tell me what the under the floor felt like covering is called. I've tried to find it on a couple of GMs parts websites but can't figure out what its actually called. I bought a 2022 Lt1 and it doesn't have it like the SS does. I want add it since the studs are there and this car has more road noise then my 16 SS did. Same material as the wheel well liners it appears to me. I think it makes the car more Aero at higher speeds. I had mine off my 16 SS a couple times. Any help would be appreciated. Here is an image of a shield on one of our members Camaro's

Is it the sound deadening material or the actual carpet? I figure as you go up the food chain there will be more sound deadening despite the added weight.

The exterior of the floor, so underneath the car itself. Basically wheel well to wheel well.

I got the shields ordered today from my local GM parts dept. Should be here tomorrow and I'll get them on this week sometime. I think they'll really help tamp down some of the road noise.

LaynLo,
If you are still on the stock LT1 Goodyear All Season tires; then switching tires will be your biggest reduction in noise. The road noise in my LT1 was awful, and switching tires made a very large difference.

I've already done that and yes there is less noise then the run flats. I went to the Nitto 555G2s. I had this same tire on my 16 SS and really liked them. For 150 bucks I'm giving it a shot plus it will protect the undercarriage and a little more aero also. I also switched out the rear wheels to go staggered, stayed with 245s up front and 285-35s in the rear. Looks much better.

Not exactly sure yet. I don't remember what attached on my 16 SS. I'll pick them up tomorrow and figure it out. Some of the studs are already there and I'll just need to figure out what is needed when I get it up in the air. When I purchased them I didn't see a fastener kit but there may actually be one I'll need.

My plans are to order an LT1. Can you share before and after pics of the shield after you install it?

I got my shields installed today and took a drive, sure is quieter inside the car then it was before. Took about 1 hour to install both including jacking the car up to get to the bolt and install the shields. I did have to buy some nuts and washers for the install which was about 15 bucks and the shields were 155 but worth the cost in my opinion. Sorry I forgot to take pictures before but its just painted floor pan. The studs are already there but the nuts and washers aren't. I'll try and remember to take pics after of the shield on the car tomorrow.

Do you have the specs for the washers and nuts that you used?
