2018 Camaro 1 LT 7" Touchscreen Software

I can't figure out if I have the latest software. It says Version 35.2.23 when I hit update it says no updates. It's a very blank black screen with a little blue wallpaper and standard icons on it. Is this the newest? I keep seeing some with big colorful icons and was just curious

Owning some other brand cars, the GM touch screens are very lack luster. Not a lot of bells and whistles and apps compared to some other cars I have owned.

Personally, I don't really care if my 50th has a infotainment system or not. That beautiful exhaust note is all the tunes I need.

We see too far.

What does any of this have to do with the question I asked? Seriously...

This is the downside of Internet forums.

The big colorful icons are on the 8” screens, my kid’s Trax has the 7” screen with the same look you describe.
I doubt any software update would change the look/feel of the screens.

They changed the display in the 2019+ cars and LT1's have the older display like the 2015's and earlier I believe.

Not the same as you see on the 2016-2018's

They also redesigned the buttons below the touch screen you'll notice a difference there.

Picture of the newer screens:

The vent dials no longer control fan speed for example only temp.

I don't really know where it came from but my LT1 with the Bose option looks a little different than my 2016 2SS and 2018 ZL1. What I can say is the sound has markedly improved and is less flakey than the previous Camaros.

The best pic i have:

It must be the 7" Touchscreen display. My wife has the 8" without navigation - I have the 8" with navigation - ours do not look like yours - so that has to be the difference. I hope this helps a little bit - congrats on the car...
