ZL1 Front Camera Mount

Hey guys, if anyone is looking for an easy snap on, no drill/cut camera mount for their ZL1 let me know. I wanted a camera up front to prevent any curbing of the lower chin so I designed/printed this little guy and it works PERFECT! Currently I only have one for the ZL1 lower grille but if there is a demand for the SS I can start designing one for that.

This is the camera I am using.

That's pretty cool. I would be interested in a mount for the SS grill.

I would be extremely interested in one for the SS grill, pending reasonable pricing.

Cool, thanks for the response guys. I will start working on an SS model. As far as pricing goes. If I am just supplying the mount (with the 2 screws/nuts shown), I'm thinking either $20 + shipping or $25 including shipping(US). I'm not 100% sure of shipping rates around the country but it'll only be in a padded envelope.

I have had that camera on the front of my SS for 5 years. Amazon Camera and 3m double sided tape. Has not moved one bit in 5 years. I have mine a little further back so you can barely see it.

I used this one:

The back of the lower grill is not solid so you can slide the mount right inside one of the fins from the back. (you just need to turn the mount around) Very discrete and well hidden. small amount of 3m tape on the back and you'll never have to worry about it.

Oh yea? Nice, I didn't think double sided tape would hold it between the air rushing through and the mount being so small. 👍🏻

Do you have a pic? I did something similar with the same camera but was looking for a more solid solution. Your way may be the ticket. Also do you find the camera resolution to be so-so especially in lower light conditions? Please pm me so we’re not invading on this thread.

Thanks!
