Compression test engine wont crank
I am putting headers on my car. I had all the plugs out so I figured I'd test the compression, (only had the car for a thousand miles or so). The coils and plug wires are off, spark plugs are out, and airbox is off, o2 sensors are disconnected. The car wont crank. I get open hood warning, stabilitrack warning, and low fuel level (tank is full). I pulled the left and right injector fuzes. When it wouldnt crank, i put them back in.
Anyone know the correct procedure for this? Do the coils etc have to be plugged in before the car will crank? Did I make a mistake pulling the injector fuze? |

Try holding the gas pedal to the floor.

If you have an Automatic Transmission car then you should try to keep the throttle wide open. and if you have a Manual Transmission Car then you should press both, Gas paddle and Clutch to the floor and then crank. This shows the car that you don't want the car to be started but just to prime/crank the engine for oil flow or compression test or whatever reason.
