How is it the dealers fault your exhaust is falling off? They wouldn’t have touched it to put a wheel stud in

Why would anyone waste their time taking the exhaust off a car to do a wheel stud?

Did they replace a stud or an entire hub assembly?

That said, $210/hr labor rate is insane for an auto tech. Even at a 3.5x multiplier rate, that's $60 an hour direct to the employee; that's about $125k per year. I doubt regular auto techs are making anywhere near that.

So have you learned your lesson to never go to a stealership for anything if you don't have to?
In my view, every time you bring a car to a stealership, all you are doing is giving them the opportunity to screw up your car worse than it was and get charged for it. |

They saw you coming.....there is no reason to remove the exhaust for a wheel stud. I've replaced both a front hub on one and a rear hub on the other of my two Camaros and it takes less that an hour to do the job in my drive way. You got ripped off big time.
