The Magnaflow will be cheaper, but remember that Borla is made from higher grade of stainless steel (304 vs 409). Better quality materials = higher cost. There are also a ton of Borla dealers and a lot of competition, so you can definitely get a good deal on the ATAK.

Have you heard this system in person? I assure you it sounds nothing like the Corsa. I don't like the Corsa, but love the ATAK.

I can't speak for the Magnaflow, but the ATAK isn't bad at all. There is a little around the 1800-2000 range, but nothing I'd classify as nasty. I can tell you that the deeper your exhaust is, the more drone you will have. Drone is about resonance, not volume.

I was hoping you would chime in Dangeruss. I wanted to hear from someone who has the ATAK system. Again, great information and since I am looking to make a decision early this week.. I need all I can get!

+1....however both offer that "race car" sound that not many others have or want.

Let us know and good luck to ya!,

I have no drone with my magnaflow. OP i welded in a true x on mine and took out the resonated xpipe. I have the mufflers in the back though and it was too quiet, the true xpipe makes it louder.

Borla, the louder the better, I wish Borla would make a 3 inch system.

I am going to do exactly what you did, except with the Magnaflow 16580 cat-back system, and try it out. If I want it louder I will spend the $80 and get the tru-x. I figure this is the best way for me to handle it at this point. Who knows, I may love the resonated X-pipe that comes with the 16580. Espcially since I am adding the CAI intake as well. I will be sure to keep everyone updated!

now... to find the best price!

The S-type is more your street kit... a little bit louder than stock but not enough for me. It is a good kit though.
