ZLE OWNERS

Do The ZLEs have the the same heat stroke issue as the regular ZL1s with the additional 10 heating elements etc?

The "11" heat exchangers are on both model ZL1's......

Are you speaking of the heat soak issues that the early LT4 Z06's had going into limp mode? This wasn't an issue with the ZL1.

I havent had any issues at the track, but my car is stock.
Ive read posts here that say if you modify you have issues with heat, but I have not read any posts where someone actually said they have issues with heat after modification.

Even though I’m still waiting for mine I’m sure the others will chime in.
Depends on how critical you’re trying to be. Stock car limp mode doesn’t seem to be an issue from what I’ve read.

Like nighttowl said mostly heavily modded cars are more at risk of heat soak.

BUT others have said just due to the physics involved even a stock car will start to pull power if it’s really hot and you’ve been sitting in traffic until you can get the air moving against the coolers again.

My ZLE is stock and during the 26 track days I only had one time the car started pulling power. VIR 97 degrees outside after 40 mins running the shit of the car on the back straight it started pulling power. No other issues all year.

So I know your asking ZLE owners but snice the cooling is the same for both models I'll chime in. I run at the track for 25mi sessions at time with no problem. I do have the 125 package from Jannetty so im not stock. I did have an issue one time due to the fact that the thermostat was not working and I over heated and the trans fluid got super hot.

Ook I wasn't aware that the the ZL1 had the 11 heat
Exchangers. I thought it was an Zle thing for track purposes

I had no idea that they both had the same cooling properties. Okay cool

ZLE owner here that has tracked actively. No heat soak issues to date - I have pounded the car at VIR in Ambient Temps of 96' with 80%+ humidity. The car never skipped a beat.

The only thing I have as an 'engine mod' is the ADM V2 LT4 Reservoir.

Keep the car on stock pulleys and there really isn’t an issue with heat soak unless you get into extreme conditions.

Is it the same with 1/4 mile runs, I always here the heat soak issues regarding slip times

Most people who drag race these cars install smaller pulleys and then yes, there will be heat soak issues
