My personal little 1000 rwhp garage project... (almost done)
Figured you guys on here might like this....
My friend David wanted to be able to drive his Z06 to Lake of the Ozarks and back, (5hrs round trip for us here in KC ~300 miles).... AND keep his car at the 1000+ hp level. (just in case someone wanted to play) AND NOT have to fill up with fuel. So this is what I came up with in the garage with help from a couple buddies Plus spending time with my 3 year old daughter. As she now enjoys bringing us drinks, and sweeping. lol. 100% "Dual Fuel" set up... Giving the car an effective range of 530+ miles per fill up, INCLUDING beating on it. 18.5 gallons of pump gas in stock fuel tank Running the stock injectors and ECU tuned by me. 15.7 gallons of E98 in the aux. fuel tanks. Running off a controller designed by my buddy and myself Firing (8) 1500cc DW injectors and Controlling the two aux pumps If you search for my name on youtube or click this "Erik Radzins" you will see a couple videos from the start of this build, and I will be updating more of them later with the final results. (remember this car already made 917 rwhp, with the 100% stock motor, no cam, and meth) So we are looking for that last 83 rwhp to be able to claim the magic 1000rwhp number with the 100% untouched LT4 engine. F-1A ProCharger with 4.50" pulley, Air to Water intercooler. 90% of this will be covered by the carpeted "False Floor" thats going in. With all the blacked out stuff, its almost all hidden. |

Looking good. Do you think you could get to the 1000 hp mark with a 4 inch pulley? Also what amount of boost is he running with the 4.5 pulley? Are the pumps located in the surge tank? What size are the aux pumps? How are you controlling the aux pumps for commanded PSI?

4.00" Pulley = Should be around 22.5 psi, and hopefully right at 997+ rwhp (assuming she follows the trend pattern she has so far) That is assuming I still use the same timing number and AFR from when it was on meth. Personally, that 997 would be my "low goal" since the E98 that it will be running on now in boost is VERY forgiving with timing and AFR. Two pumps are in the surge tank, twin 340's for now. (can upgrade later) The controller is my own, designed/built by myself and a buddy. |

As this car passes the 500rwhp mark, the pump gas is phased out. Then there is about a 100hp blend time before E98 takes over fully from there. Going to set the F-1A to run at max rated RPM. (no over spinning) And see what she does. Again by my math calculations that should be right at about 997 rwhp. (which falls in line with exactly what that blower should be making per the CFM at its impeller rpm) |

ooooooo. Is this something you may end up making available as a product or write up perhaps? I think this is a real cost effective solution for us vs cam/hpfp/lpfp/injectors
I just want another 50ish hp... and at this level its going to cost me a solid 6k+ to get there :/ |

This method is just because of Davids request to drive to the lake and back. (Plus when I ride shot gun, gotta make sure we are ready if a GTR pulls up) And yes, it was done to keep costs down. Hence why it was a DIY garage project for fun. |

That is really awesome with so much fuel capacity/range.
