Ceramic Pro has a "matte" finish coating. No change to the finish.

Usually people only install clear bra on the front end of the car. Either parts of the front end (just bumper for example) or the whole front end (quarter panels, hood, bumper etc). I paid $1500 for the whole front end. The cost depends a lot on what part of the country you are in.

I've heard some people do get clear bra over the whole car but those are usually for exotic cars like Lambos and such. I'm guessing the cost would be at least a few thousand.

I had a clear bra put on my hood, then a CQuartz ceramic finish on top of that. Admittedly pricey compared to re-wrapping the hood, it does make care/maintenance a breeze. The Xpel used on my hood added a shade of gloss, it doesn't have the factory matte look anymore.

I paid a pretty penny, for sure. Started off with the intent of just getting a partial clear bra and actually omitting the hood for reasons people have already mentioned. Adding the hood to the partial clear bra was a couple hundred so I just added it to the job. I had a CQuartz Finest Reserve which was done on the entire exterior, little over $2K.

I think I saw someone on here put on a 'stealth' type clear bra on top of the vinyl wrap, to keep it satin/matte.

I chose to just remove the vinyl wrap and get a normal clear bra done. I like that look better anyway.
+1
My hood wrap has already been replaced because of chips. Vinyl is not protection its for looks.

One chip actually dented the hood as well. They do have a clear bra that is dull to match the flat black paint, I am thinking of trying that to help avoid damage to the hood. The chips happen close to the forward edge. I've always been unlucky when it comes to rocks here in the NW. Unless everyone gets this here. Its happened to every new car I have ever owned. My car has 2500 miles on it now. I'm not sure if its still worth doing the clear bra.
