LT1 BOOSTED FUELING QUESTIONS

What are the stock LT1 fuel system RWHP limits on 93 octane?

What are they on 100% e85 and or can you run 100% on boost?

At what point is meth recommended RWHP wise?

If you upgrade to all LT4 fueling what are the limits on both 93 and 100% e85?

Here are my findings.

575 RWHP on 93 octane with .80 lambda, some tuners will run them leaner and may get to 600 RWHP before fuel pressure starts to drop or we exceed 6 milliseconds of injector opening time.

Significantly less but don't have that info handy, the math says mid 400s

LT4 fuel system with a stock cam is good to 700 RWHP on race gas as you will likely hit the octane wall before the fuel limit on gasoline.

On E60 I found it at 640 RWHP.

Same fuel system with our cam and 32% lobe we found the limit on E-60 at 742 RWHP.

The More Ethanol the lower the HP you will run out of fuel system.

I hope this helps.

Ted.

Lots of good info!!! Thank you sir!! I have messed with DI on one of my last toys. Was curious as to the limits on this one for future mods.

I have seen similar numbers. These are dynojet numbers

at least 460rwhp on e85 at .86 lambda stock fuel system.

600rwhp on e85 at .86 lambda with the lt4 pump and injectors and intank pump.

Yes.

I have port fuel injection now and am over 750hp. It feels pretty good.

I have watched you since back in your nitrous/blower extended cab days!! Just went through your build on the 6th gen..... impressive and awesome like everything else you do sir!!

How is the car liking the port injection setup? Looked like the MS3 was fun to install..

the port injection is working great. you don't even know it is there. the ms3 is a ton of fun and seems like a bargain considering all the stuff it is doing/will be doing for me.

We're going to be port injection and using a haltec to run it.

There are 2 companies i work with that offer plug and play port injection. One is all oem gm components. It uses hp tuners to control it. It is only for adding fuel. The second uses a stand alone haltec ecu which can do boost control and many other great things

This was just released and seems to be a very interesting option.

This is sweet, are they on the market? ive been looking for this info for awile now, i dont mean to hijack the thread but i have a 17ss with bolt ons and a msd intake manifold. Also a e85 sensor and ff tune. I want to do cam and heads but im pretty sure ill run out of fuel. The port injection i like because it will keep the valves clean and seems like it will cost almost the same as me upgrading to the lt4 stuff. i have 2500 miles on my car and have light light build up on the valves ive seen when i installed the intake and thats with running a cath can. Would this system be for what you want to run through it as in meth or e85?

One is 42 Autosports Steven Rankin's business, he uses a stand alone haltec ecu to control port injection as a plug and play solution as well as use it for nitrous control, boost control and many other amazing things.

The second is Crawford Racing that uses an oem solution that can even be controlled by hp tuners. This is for adding fuel only from my understanding though, what 90% of people out there need but for those 10% crazies like Roho Snyper and me who want it all

The cr kit looks like it would cost me 3 k where the lt4 setup would be around 2k. But the cr kit would keep valves clean. The vid on there site does not provide much info on it, if you ran meth youd have to have a stand alone fuel system just for this setup, or does it use a standalone fuelsystem anyways ? It doesnt appear it does

Guessing CR kit wouldn't be an option with a PD SC?
