Something I'm finding annoying with EV launches lately...
$105k First Editions. They sell out so it's not like there's issues selling them, and if GM can find buyers for them then all power to them. The problem I have is it makes it hard to figure out how much a normal model is going to cost and what features will get left out. Silverado's a good example, how many of those launch features like WOW mode is exclusive to just the XXXX number of First Editions? And then how much will a normal RST cost?

I'm guessing a Silverado LT will end up around $50k. I'd love to know Midgate availability on lower trims too. With the Multi-Flex tailgate you could just buy one off a wrecked truck if you really wanted one but obviously that's not possible with the Midgate.

Well they said this...
In spring 2023, the Silverado EV will debut a WT model offering GM’s longest range battery with an expected GM-estimated range of over 400 miles on a full charge. In fall 2023, a fully loaded RST First Edition model, also delivering a 400-mile range, will debut with an MSRP of $105,000 + DFC. After production ramps up, Chevrolet will unleash the full Silverado EV portfolio, including WT (with a starting at MSRP of $39,900 + DFC), RST, Trail Boss and more. Customers will have the ability to content the truck across various price ranges, with MSRPs around $50,000, $60,000, $70,000, $80,000 and more, allowing them to choose the truck that meets their capability and pricing needs. It looks like perhaps the Silverado options and combos will be more plentiful than the pre-packaged Hummers. Still not very specific with pricing and details, but maybe more chances to personalize the Silverado. |

It's not going to be pretty if you want to be an early adopter but it never is. There will be a next gen ICE counterpart in 2025 likely more reasonable and maybe even the last ICE generation. Let's just hope gas isn't $6 a gallon by then. No tailpipe emissions by 2035, light duty vehicles, at which point i'm assuming the BEV trucks will be the only option from GM.

This new "EValanche" have any capabilities to power a camper through outlets at the back like the new Ford Hybrids and Lightning?
Sorry - no time to watch the slow and boring videos.

About that range.
400+ miles they say. But is that 400+ miles on the highway, or 400+ miles of city and highway? (less if you tried to do an all highway trip) My understanding is that the highway range will likely be less than that.

It has a slew of plugs in the rear, so I'd guess yes

Part of me thinks they did the testing with that payload so later they can tout "improved" range without having to do anything more than removing the weight for testing.

Noted in the media spec sheet. Adds 100 miles per 10 minutes of charge at a DC Fast Charger.
